2) Do not redistribute ants purchased from this site
Ants purchased from Atlantic Ants must not be redistributed. This includes giving away and selling ants. This is because the USDA monitors each colony and keeping track of where each colony is is important.
3) How to dispose of ants
Ants must be disposed by putting them in the freezer for 8 hours. Then, they must be placed in the trash.
Refunds are available to customers whose ants are DOA within 1 hour of delivery. Please provide images/video of your ants for a full refund (excludes shipping fee).

We generally ship ants from Monday through Wednesday to avoid ants being stuck at the post office on Sunday.
We use modeling clay to secure test tubes so they don't roll around on tables.
Ants are labeled as plant pests by the USDA because some species pose a threat to American agriculture. Although movement inside of a state is unrestricted (with the exception of ants that are in quarantined counties, such as Solenopsis invicta), it is illegal to move ants across state lines without a PPQ-526 permit. As of April 2023, the only exception is Pogonomyrmex occidentalis, which may be imported to all continental states except for CA and FL. Moving ants across state lines is a felony and that is why I am only shipping ants to states that I have permits to ship to.
Our ants come in standard test tube setups. The dimensions of the test tubes we use are 16x150mm.
The states that each species is available to can be found in the description for each species.

I will email you and your order will be refunded.
Black mold is not an issue for ants in test tube setups. This type of mold does not affect the ants all that much and is perfectly safe. Green and yellow mold, however, should be removed.

If I do not have permits for your state, this means that I was either denied or, more likely, I have not applied for that species for your state yet.
